NBCU LAUNCH, the umbrella brand that houses the comprehensive diversity, equity and inclusion efforts across NBCU’s television portfolio, has forged a new partnership with Telemundo to increase the number of Hispanic female directors in scripted television. This partnership is an extension of the Hispanic network’s corporate initiative Mujeres Imparables (Unstoppable Women).
On May 16, 2007, “Rumba 104.5” and WUBA were replaced with Alternative music, as WRFF, which remains on the air today. At Noon on March 11, 2022, iHeartMedia and its iHeartLatino division led by Miami veteran air personality Enrique Santos, decided to give it another try in the City of Brotherly Love. Rumba is back in Philly, only this time it is on a home once home to an Eagle, to Smooth Jazz and, most recently, “The Breeze.”
The three scripted shows join Tplus’ slate through a distribution agreement with Mediterráneo Mediaset España Group and add to the growing list of titles under the Tplus brand.
Importantly, the agreement represents a new partnership, and the first commercial agreement between the two companies to date.

NBC Sports debuted its innovative, immersive, and authentic coverage of the Premier League in 2013.
The network is preparing to present the most ambitious multimedia coverage in Spanish-language history, with all 64 matches broadcast live, including 56 games airing on Telemundo and eight on Universo.
Starting at 7pm Eastern (6pm CDMX), viewers will be offered a mix of programming comprised of “Mirador Mundial,” “Oppenheimer Presenta,” “En diálogo con Longobardi,” “Docufilms con María Celeste Arrarás” and “Don Francisco: Reflexiones.”
Univision Dallas-Fort Worth has announced the promotion of Calixto Gonzalez to Vice President of News.
Gonzalez currently serves as Assistant News Director at Univision San Antonio; he will assume his new role on Monday, November 1st.
