The U.S. Hispanic consumer is perhaps still underserved when it comes to podcasts targeting these Spanish-speaking, English-thinking Americans.
Univision Noticias has become the latest group in recent days to say it is committing to this audience, with the launch of what it is calling an “one-of-a-kind” Spanish-language podcast offering a quick 30-minute take on the biggest news of the day across the planet.
Introducing “Univision Reporta,” hosted by Mexican journalist, author and anchor León Krauze.
He said, “From politics, culture, and sports, we’re interested in what’s most important to our audience. For each topic, we will find the person who can best offer original, informative, and enlightening points of view. I am confident that we will be great company for our audience every morning.”
TelevisaUnivision notes, “In 30 minutes or less each morning, Krauze will focus on topics that are central to listeners’ daily lives. He will interview experts and individuals shaping history today.”
New episodes will become available each weekday at 6am Eastern on the Uforia app and “all major podcast platforms.”
Krauze is a columnist for El Universal, perhaps Mexico City’s most globally recognized newspaper in a crowded marketplace.
