Axios, Telemundo Team For Weekly Latino Newsletter, En Inglés

A weekly English-language newsletter examining the key issues impacting the Latino community is on the way. And, it is thanks to a new partnership between Axios and Noticias Telemundo.

Introducing “Axios Latino,” a newsletter that debuts March 25 designed to provide readers “with the most consequential news and developments in one concise newsletter.”

The newsletter marks the first time Axios has partnered with a news organization to produce one of its signature  newsletters. The newsletter, Telemundo says, “will maximize Axios’ proven Smart Brevity® style and newsletter format to make readers smarter, faster on the issues that matter most in the Latino community.”

Axios Latino also represents the latest English-language editorial offering from Noticias Telemundo, adding to its existing news coverage of the Hispanic community.

“The U.S. Latino community is a diverse and massive, but largely underserved audience among English-language media. We look forward to working with Noticias Telemundo to elevate the voices and stories of this important community,” said Jim VandeHei, co-founder and CEO of Axios.

NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises Chairman Beau Ferrari added, “As Latinos continue to influence every aspect of our society, we are thrilled to partner with Axios to bring together two of the most rigorous news organizations in the country to provide much-needed news and information about our community. Axios Latino is another defining example of how Noticias Telemundo continues to increase its reach with in-depth analysis and news coverage for the entire spectrum of Latinos, the fastest-growing community in the United States.”

Led by reporters Marina E. Franco of Noticias Telemundo and Russell Contreras of Axios, Axios Latino’s goal is to:

  • Analyze the impact of the leading political and economic stories on the Latino community
  • Curate the best stories highlighting Latino perspectives
  • Provide insight on the most critical issues with original reporting and analysis
