Calixto Gonzales To Head Univision DFW ‘Noticias’

Univision Dallas-Fort Worth has announced the promotion of Calixto Gonzalez to Vice President of News.

Gonzalez currently serves as Assistant News Director at Univision San Antonio; he will assume his new role on Monday, November 1st.

An Emmy award-winning, veteran news executive with nearly two decades of experience, Gonzalez began his career as a news intern at Univision Puerto Rico in 2002, where he eventually rose through the ranks to become Executive Producer in 2010. He joined Univision San Antonio in 2016 as Assistant News Director, where he launched Edicion Digital San Antonio as well as various political specials and community empowerment shows.

At the same time, Univision New York today announced the appointment of Jonathan Inoa as co-anchor for its 11pm newscast. Inoa joins Univision New York’s  news team on Wednesday (11/3).

A veteran journalist with nearly three decades of experience, Inoa began his career as a teenager with a years-long stint as a local on-air radio personality in his native Dominican Republic. He spent 14 years as a radio personality in the Tri-State area before joining NY1 Noticias in 2004 as a general assignment reporter.

Univision New York also announced more changes to its news team.

Victor Javier Solano has moved timeslots to anchor the 6pm newscast, while several new hires have joined the news team:
