Meet Telemundo’s Newest Local News & Content RVP

The VP of News for the Telemundo Station Group station serving Orlando has been promoted to a larger role, focusing his efforts on not only that property but also the company’s Telemundo stations serving Fort Myers-Naples and Tampa-St. Petersburg.

Earning the new role of RVP/News & Content at for WTMO-31 in Orlando, WRMD-49 in Tampa and WWDT-CD 43 in Fort Myers is Miguelangel Lopez.

In the new role, Lopez will provide strategic direction and leadership for the news operations for the three stations, and work closely with the stations’ news leaders and collaborate with Telemundo Station Group’s content team in Orlando, Tampa and Fort Myers.

Lopez has led “Telemundo 31 Orlando” news operations since 2021. Previously, he was Vice President of News for KTLM-40 in McAllen-Brownsville.
