A romantic comedy directed by Yahayra Garrido featuring a cast including Marjorie de Sousa, Mark Tacher, Rodrigo Guirao, and Julia Gama, has completed production after less than a month. Now, Hemisphere Media Group and Vice Chairman Jim McNamara have started the promotion process for the forthcoming feature film.
The movie, Mi Perfecto Ex, began production in early January, in various locations throughout Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
The film tells the story of Cata, played by de Sousa, who decides her relationship with her lazy boyfriend Javier (Tacher) needs a temporary break, with the hopes that he will return begging for a second chance. However, when time passes and Cata receives no news from her ex-boyfriend, she decides to take her own break at a luxurious beach resort. To her surprise, she runs into Javier, who has undergone a stunning transformation and is about to marry someone else.
Under the direction of Garrido, “Mi Perfecto Ex” was produced by Yahayra Films with Sofía Garrido as Executive Producer. The screenplay is by Sol Levinton.
How can one view Mi Perfecto Ex? McNamara says it will premiere on Canela TV as part of a five-feature film contract. “This agreement represents an important milestone for Hemisphere Media Group and demonstrates our commitment to delivering quality content to the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American audiences,” McNamara, a veteran of the U.S. Hispanic market’s cinematic world, said.
