Ann-Marie Figueira has been promoted to Senior Vice President Hispanic Platforms and Multicultural Initiatives at Gen Media Partners.

She reports to CEO Kevin Garrity, and rises from the role of VP/Regional Sales and Hispanic.

“Recognized across the radio and advertising industries as a leading expert in Hispanic national radio sales, Figueira is often called upon by agency planners and buyers for her insights and knowledge on the Hispanic culture,” GMP says.

Figueira is taking a newly created position, giving her expanded responsibilities “for driving revenue for Hispanic national radio sales across all of Gen Media Partners’ 15 offices, including New York and Los Angeles.”

Garrity commented, “Ann-Marie is passionate about Hispanic radio and its listeners and understands the nuanced differences within the sub-cultures of the U.S. Hispanic population. Moreover, she excels at working with advertisers and agencies to help them navigate the complex diversity of the Hispanic culture so they can target their message in relevant content. I’m delighted that we have someone of Ann-Marie’s level of expertise within our organization.”

Figueira added, “The Hispanic market is not homogenous. You cannot use a one-size-fits-all approach. Different levels of assimilation and acculturation, different language preferences, country of origin, and where cultural groups settle are key factors to campaign success. A twenty-five-year national radio sales professional with extensive knowledge of the Hispanic radio marketplace, Figueira’s background includes roles at Caballero Spanish Media, Interep and McGavren Guild.
