NBA Nuggets To Debut En Español Game-Day Audio Coverage

The Denver Nuggets are set to launch a new Spanish-language audio broadcast streaming on the Nuggets mobile app, starting with Friday’s home game against the Toronto Raptors.

Jena Garcia, a mainstay of Denver’s bilingual sports media, will have the play-by-play call, joined by color analyst Mauricio Jaramillo, a sports anchor at Telemundo Denver.

A 15-minute pregame show and 15-minute postgame show will bookend each live game broadcast.

The initial run of broadcasts, produced by TICO Sports, will span the 10 remaining regular-season home games.

Friday’s game represents the first Spanish-language audio broadcast produced for the Nuggets, expanding access for Spanish-speaking fans and strengthening the organization’s connection with one of the fastest-growing audiences in sports.

Nearly one-third of Denver’s population is Hispanic, according to U.S. census data.

“This launch with the Denver Nuggets is more than a broadcast—it’s a commitment to meeting fans where they are and how they experience the game,” said Oscar Monterroso, Co-Founder & Executive Producer of TICO Sports. “The Latino fan base is one of the fastest-growing forces in sports, and we’re proud to help bring Nuggets basketball to life in a way that is authentic, accessible, and culturally connected.”

The inaugural Spanish-language audio broadcast coincides with Somos Los Nuggets Night, the team’s annual celebration of Colorado’s rich Hispanic history and heritage. Several nonprofit partners will be highlighted throughout the game, including the Mexican Cultural Center, LatinasGive!, Latino Leadership Institute, Baila Conmigo, and Colorado Afro Latin Dance and Arts Collective (CALDAC).

“The Nuggets have a passionate and growing Latino fanbase that we want to engage,” said Ron Chase, Nuggets Vice President of Marketing. “These broadcasts will offer an accessible and culturally authentic game experience for Spanish-speaking fans across Denver and the broader NBA audience.”

The free Nuggets mobile app is available for Apple and Android devices via iTunes and Google Play. The Spanish-language coverage will also appear on the NBA App, available via iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, and Roku.
