Hemisphere Media Group has signed a multi-year content agreement with the public broadcasting service in the Dominican Republic that allows HMG to distribute nearly 30 hours per week from Televisión Dominicana.
The agreement makes Hemisphere, led by President/CEO Alan Sokol, once again the exclusive source of Radio Televisión Dominicana programming in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
The lineup includes the following programs now available on Televisión Dominicana:
- El Mangú de la Mañana – A daily morning show that informs, entertains, and inspires. The program features live interviews, in-depth reporting, and segments highlighting education, culture, and current events.
- Central Deportes – A sports magazine that delivers compelling stories from across the athletic world, with expert analysis and human-interest perspectives that resonate deeply with fans.
- Luna Llena – A fresh and ever-evolving late-night variety show offering comedy, cultural commentary, celebrity interviews, and surprise segments every evening.
- Topitok – An award-winning, educational children’s program that blends fun, learning, and values through creative segments like “Laboritok,” “Notitok,” and musical performances.
“We are proud to deepen our commitment to the Dominican audience in the U.S. by bringing the most relevant, top-quality content from the Dominican Republic,” said Sokol. “Our partnership with RTVD ensures that Televisión Dominicana remains the essential connection between Dominicans in the U.S. and the culture, voices, and stories that define their heritage.”
RTVD Director Ivan Ruiz added, “This agreement with Hemisphere Media Group represents an important milestone for RTVD. We are thrilled to extend the reach of our programming to Dominican families in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, and to share the rich diversity of Dominican talent, thought, and creativity with an even wider audience.”
