An Asst. PD for ‘Cali 93.9’ In L.A.

Carlos Branco has taken the position of Assistant Program Director for Meruelo Media-owned Latin Urban FM “CALI 93.9,” KLLI-FM in Los Angeles.

Branco has spent the last 15 years with Univision Radio, most recently overseeing the content and brand expansion for 5 of its Spanish Adult Contemporary stations.

“We’re excited to welcome Carlos back to L.A.,” Meruelo Media VP/Audio Brands Haz Montana said. “Carlos knows the market, has produced successful morning and afternoon drive shows, and brings a great depth of knowledge in music programming. I’m excited he’ll have the tools of Cali 93.9 as a live and local station.”

KLLI competes directly against Spanish Broadcasting System’s KXOL “Mega 96.3” in Los Angeles, which is welcoming Omar y Argelia for mornings from Univision’s KLVE “Radio Amor.”
