KTLM Welcomes A New News Director

KTLM-TV, known as “Telemundo 40” to viewers across Texas’s Rio Grande Valley, has named a new News Director. He’ll be joining the NBCUniversal Local’s Telemundo Station Group property on September 29.

Earning the role is Noel Ramos, who shifts from co-owned KTMD-TV in Houston. There, he serves as Assistant News Director and has been in the role for some 9 years.

At KTLM, he reports to President/GM José Flores. He commented, “Noel’s award-winning newsroom leadership, deep understanding of local communities and proven passion for impactful journalism makes him the ideal person to lead our newsroom in delivering the trusted news our Spanish-speaking audiences rely on every day. We are thrilled to welcome him to KTLM.”

Prior to joining Telemundo Houston, Ramos served as Executive Producer and Assistant News Director for Entravision Communications properties in Tampa and Orlando.
