The global distribution of the atresplayer app, the streaming home of programming linked to Spain’s Antenna 3 network, has taken a leap forward by being added to the Premium Subscriptions options on one of the key digital video distribution platforms in North America.
As of today, the atresplayer is available to users of The Roku Channel in both the U.S. and in Mexico. In the latter nation, Roku just launched Premium Subscriptions across its entire device and smart TV ecosystem, tapping into the robust streaming marketplace in key metropolitan centers such as Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey.
The agreement allows users to subscribe to atresplayer directly through Roku with a single sign-in, one consolidated bill, and the opportunity to add or cancel services at any time. “Bringing atresplayer to Premium Subscriptions in the U.S. and Mexico marks an important milestone in our distribution strategy,” said Orestes Aja, Head Digital & OTT at Atresmedia Internacional.
